So yeah, there's four of these guys in this Red Wing Gang, all big dumb mantis people. I don't know mantis people from orcs, but they seemed pretty out of it. So I got them playing Rage Deck. I let them win a few then I did the double down a few times, where I bet them money i didn't have so i could keep playing expecting to clean them out. But they knew i was counting cards the whole time, because they could read my mind! They let me hang myself out to dry. i have never felt so humiliated. Or terrified. And now my pineal juice dealer wont talk to me because he says I "bring danger to his home." Whatever. I was trying to quit anyway."
Damage Types by Skill
The following table displays the damage types of each skill in Project Gorgon. Primary damage types are those that make up a bulk of the skill's damage, or are present on a large number of abilities. Other damage dealt by the skill's abilities is considered secondary. The primary and secondary labels are subjective. (TE) indicates the damage type is only accessible for that skill through a Treasure Effect. Last updated for v328.

Overview
Transmutation allows you to change, or reroll, a mod on a piece of gear. (Note: "mod" is used interchangeably with "treasure effect" and "treasure mod") This consumes phlogiston and durability. The higher the level of the item, the higher the tier of phlogiston consumed. The ability to pick and choose treasure effects is huge, and it's not an understatement to say that this is the most powerful skill for min-maxing gear. Please note that transmuting anything will ATTUNE that gear to you, making it useless to other players.

In the Skills and Abilities tab, Transmutation is listed as a subskill of Alchemy.

NOTE: Differences between Transmutation and Augmentation: Transmutation lets you change the mods on your gear, whereas Augmentation lets you add one additional mod to a piece of gear. With Transmutation you distill items into phlogiston and use a transmutation table to make changes. With Augmentation you decompose items into beads and baubles in order to extract a mod from one item and place it on a different item.

The science of permanently altering how a magical item works. Also covers manipulation of the basic materials of magic, such as phlogiston.

Mechanics
Distillation
You can distill non-white items (anything that has a mod) into phlogiston. Each distillation has a chance to consume a Prism, depending on what tier the distilled equipment is. In order to distill items, right-click the item and select distill [item name].

The quantity of phlog given depends on the tier of the item (Uncommon, Rare, Exceptional, Epic, or Legendary...see Items for a breakdown). Speaking very broadly, Uncommon gives 2 phlog, Rare gives 4-5, Exceptional gives 6-7, Epic gives 8-10, and Legendary gives 12-13.

The tier of phlog (Shoddy, Rough, Crude, Decent, or Nice) depends on the level of the item. Generally, the highest level requirement for the item is used. A sword that requires level 55 Sword and level 30 Psychology would distill into Decent Phlogiston. The table below maps level to phlog tier.

Level Range
Phlog Tier
0-10 || Shoddy
15-25 || Rough
30-40 || Crude
45-55 || Decent
60-70 || Nice

Transmutation
Transmuting an item will change a selected mod to a different, randomly chosen, effect. To do this, find a Transmutation table (list of locations below). Interact with the table, drag an item to it, and choose the mod you wish to reroll. You must unequip gear before transmuting it.

When you select a mod to reroll, you will get a prompt telling you how much phlog and durability will be consumed. Rerolling a mod from a normal combat skill costs 35 phlog and 25% durability. The tier of phlog required depends on the tier level that the mod belongs to, see the chart above for the exact ranges. EX: Rerolling a level 55 sword mod will require 35 Decent Phlogiston.

If you reroll an Endurance or generic mod, the cost is 20 phlog and 20% durability.

All skills have a list of specific mods that are available for each slot (Head, Chest, etc.). The new mod will be chosen from that list, and is guaranteed to NOT be something that is already on the gear. EX: Let's say that there are 10 possible mods for Fire Magic MainHands. Let's say you have 2 Fire Magic mods on your current Staff. If you reroll one of them, there are 8 possible mods it could become.

Due to the random nature of transmutation, it can be very frustrating or very satisfying. You should be aware that you can roll many, many times without getting the mod you want...that's just how luck works.

Bug: After transmuting a mod, you are given the option to try again. IF YOU CLICK TRY AGAIN, YOU ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO BE REROLLING THE SAME MOD. This is because the game generally puts the "new" (rerolled) mod at the bottom of the list, but will try to transmute from the mod's old position if you hit "Try Again". To be safe, it is recommended that you instead choose "All done." and re-drag the item to the transmutation table.

Note: The game will allow you to transmute an augmented mod. Your gear will still be useable, but that piece of equipment will not be un-augmentable. If you try to undo the augment, you'll receive an error message.

Tip: ANY tier of a mod will "block" all tiers of that mod from being rerolled. In other words, if you had "Riposte Damage +11%" (level 5 mod) on your gear, any rerolls on other mods would never result in any tier of "Riposte Damage +X%". This means that you can augment a low-level mod that you do NOT want on your gear to increase your chances of getting the mods you want. Using the example above, say there are 10 possible Fire Magic Staff mods and our gear already has 2 of them. Normally any reroll would be picking from a pool of 8. Instead, before transmuting, say that we augmented a mod that we definitely didn't want the reroll to become. Now you're choosing from a pool of 7. Once you've gotten the mod you want, you simply undo the augment (see Augmentation). This method is definitely a bit more tedious than just transmuting, but may be worth it in terms of time/gold/phlog/prisms saved. Make sure that you do not accidentally transmute the low-level augment, see the Note above.

Durability
Durability is consumed every time you transmute an item. Having 0% durability will NOT stop you from being able to wear and use that gear, but you cannot transmute if you don't have the required durability. You can repair an items durability with Transmutation Recipes, but each one sets a timer on that piece of equipment. That equipment cannot be repaired again until the timer expires. For the max-level repair skill (repairs 100% durability), the timer is 7 days.

Theorycrafting
If you're trying to transmute gear in search of specific mods, you could probably use a list of possible mods for a particular skillset. You can visit Gorgon Explorer for a player-run database of every mod (the Mod and Build Planner tabs are particularly useful). Mods are also available on the wiki at <skill name>/Treasure Effects. (Example: Fire Magic/Treasure Effects)
Warden Mechanics
Wardens learn a Lore recipe called Check Active Warden Alerts. This recipe will show which NPC gives a warden alert quest at the moment. These quests usually require you to kill 12-15 mobs in the same zone as the NPC and reward favor, warden points and also Vervadium for higher level zones. The alert is active for hours so you can do it when you have time, there is no forced start time like druid events. Of course you can skip the alert if you don't like the zone or mob type.

The warden introduction mentions that you have to complete at least one warden alert per moon cycle or your warden powers will deactivate and require some ritual to reactivate.
Overview
Butchering is a skill that allows Adventurers to harvest extra meat and organs from creatures. This option is only available when looting a corpse if a Butcher Knife, or similar tool, is in a character's inventory. If a corpse is butchered, it can not be skinned, or have it's skull extracted. Butchering can also be leveled by extracting skulls, using a Skull Extractor.
In-Game Description
Skill in the act of removing meat and useful body organs from a corpse. You need to be carrying a Butcher Knife in order to butcher a corpse. Corpses of sentient creatures, such as goblins and humans, can't be butchered.
Training
* Butchering is learned the first time a monster is defeated, and a Butcher Knife is used on the corpse.
* Fainor, the owner of Serbule's Chortling Beaver Inn, sells Butcher Knives.
* Toolcrafters are able to craft a variety of Butcher Knives.
* Nishika, a Rakshasa from the City of Rahu, can raise your Butchering Level Cap from 50 to 60, and from 60 to 70.
* Noita the Green in the Fae Realm can raise the cap from 70 to 80.
Secondary Skills:
* Anatomy - Raising certain Anatomy Sub-Skills will improve the chance to receive extra meat while butchering, and increases the chance that an organ will be found.
Related Skills:
* Skinning - Another possibility available to those who stumble onto a corpse, Skinning will make it impossible to Butcher.
* Phrenology - Skulls extracted using a Skull Extractor are used in the art of Phrenology.
* Cooking - Butchering is the primary way that cooks obtain meat!
* Toolcrafting - Toolcrafters are able to craft many types of knives usable for Butchering.
Mechanics
Leveling Butchering
Failing an attempt to butcher a corpse will grant 1 XP. Successfully butchering a corpse will grant much more experience! If you loot both meat and a bone or organ, you will receive 3x the normal experience.
Collecting Organs & Bones
Organs such as Stomachs, Hearts, and Spleens can be looted while butchering a corpse. Bones, such as Femurs can also be obtained. The chances to loot an Organ or Bone improves based on the Anatomy skill of the corpse you are looting.

If you are looting a Sickly Tiger, the bonuses would come from Feline Anatomy. Level 6 Feline Anatomy grants Butchering yields extra bones: +2%, and Level 9 Feline Anatomy grants Butchery yields rare meat or organs: +3%.
}}
Kur Moutains is a massive, bitter cold mountainous region.

An interesting mechanic in this zone, is that the player character gradually loses Body Heat over time. Losing all your Body Heat causes Frostbite and eventually Hypothermia. Frostbite reduces damage dealt by 20%. If you remain frostbitten for too long, you will also get Hypothermia, which significantly reduces health regeneration and movement speed (-20% and -50%). Both effects can be healed by lighting a Smoldering Fire, or by taking cover in the northwestern outpost. Left untreated, hypothermia will eventually kill you.

The rate at which you lose Body Heat is affected by Indirect Cold Mitigation, which can be improved through gear and abilities. In addition to the smoldering campfires scatted throughout the zone, Ukorga can teach you how to make an Emergency Warmth Fire or Basic Campfire through Carpentry. Spot teaches beast form players the same through Foraging. Varying amounts of Body Heat can also be restored through several Fire Magic, First Aid, Mentalism and Priest abilities or a Simple Blanket. Finally, Cold Resistance and Orcish Thickskin Potions can boost your total Body Heat capacity, allowing you more time away from heat sources.

Apparently, The Council has imposed a road maintenance tax on Kurs citizens, though oddly enough there is no road to be found in this region. <!--Source: 'Tan skins and discuss politics' hangout with Ukorga-->
Points of Interest
Campfires
Several smoldering fires can be found throughout the zone. If you light it with 1 piece of wood (Oak and Maple works), it will burn for 10 minutes and heal Frostbite and Hypothermia. Staying near the fire will also prevent the Biting Cold effect.

Abandoned Barn
A barn which houses another Smoldering Fire. Syndra is living inside. A Teleportation Circle is nearby.

Northwestern Outpost
A very tiny community lives there: Ukorga, Laura Neth, Landri the Cold, Gurki, Nightshade, and Janet Lews.

Orc Camps
There is a small orc camp to the west, and a large one to the north. There is a Smoldering Fire that can be lit in the west camp.
: In late 2014, a rumor arose suggesting that the Statehelm Mint was a building hidden somewhere in the eastern mountains of Kur. Instructions to find the mythical building suggested following the northern beach shore as far east as you could go, and climbing from there.
