Soothsaying is not a skill per se. One can use one of the four augury recipes (&#039;&#039;Beginner&#039;s&#039;&#039;, &#039;&#039;Basic&#039;&#039;, &#039;&#039;Advanced&#039;&#039; and &#039;&#039;Expert Augury&#039;&#039;) found among [[Lore Recipes]]. [[Ashk the Answerer]] will teach them with appropriate favor after you complete some errands for him.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Each augury recipe gives a one hour buff and can be repeated every hour. The buff effect can be good or bad. Known effects are listed below. When the effect description indicates X% or N it means the percentage X or value N varies with the recipe: &#039;&#039;Expert Augury&#039;&#039; gives a higher percentage (both good and bad) than &#039;&#039;Beginner&#039;s Augury&#039;&#039;.&lt;br /&gt;

The outcome of an augury depends on the corpse trophy used, and some effects are more likely to happen. In general, all items have a chance to give &#039;&#039;Normal Day&#039;&#039; or &#039;&#039;Unpleasant Day&#039;&#039; (the Max Armor modifier). When these two effects are explicitely listed below, it means they have a higher than average chance to happen.&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;&#039;Sigil Scripting&#039;&#039;&#039; is a kind of arcane trap-making skill taught by [[Sir Arif]] once you have 20 [[Calligraphy]]. The skill also includes some utility and beneficial symbols (also refered as &amp;quot;runes&amp;quot;) such as one that knocks back enemies, and a restorative rune that heals nearby allies. Sigil Scripting does NOT go on one of your two main combat bars. Instead, all abilities can be placed on your sidebar.&lt;br /&gt;

&#039;&#039;&#039;Kur Moutains&#039;&#039;&#039; is a massive, bitter cold mountainous region.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
An interesting mechanic in this zone, is that the player character takes damage over time due to the &#039;&#039;&#039;freezing temperatures&#039;&#039;&#039; (the effect appear as &#039;&#039;Coldbite&#039;&#039;). Look for health regeneration through consumables and skills in order to survive the harsh environment. Failure to do so could lead to death by &#039;&#039;exposure to freezing temperatures&#039;&#039;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In addition to the &#039;&#039;Coldbite&#039;&#039; effect, the character can also catch &#039;&#039;Hypothermia&#039;&#039; and &#039;&#039;Frostbite&#039;&#039;. Hypothermia significantly reduces health regeneration and movement speed (-20% and -50%), while Frostbite reduces damage dealt by 20%. Both effects can be healed by lighting a Smoldering Fire or taking cover in the northwestern outpost.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Apparently, [[The Council]] has imposed a road maintenance tax on &#039;&#039;&#039;Kur&#039;&#039;&#039;&#039;s citizens, though oddly enough there is no road to be found in this region. &amp;lt;!--Source: &#039;Tan skins and discuss politics&#039; hangout with Ukorga--&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Several &#039;&#039;&#039;smoldering fires&#039;&#039;&#039; can be found throughout the zone. If you light it with 1 piece of wood (Oak and Maple works), it will burn for 10 minutes and heal &#039;&#039;Hypothermia&#039;&#039; and &#039;&#039;Frostbite&#039;&#039;. Staying near the fire will also prevent the &#039;&#039;Biting Cold&#039;&#039; effect.&lt;br /&gt;
