Laura Neth is a human shopkeeper found in the Kur Mountains outpost. Her father is a chef In Statehelm. He's not a very nice man, but he's an amazing baker, and his seafood is the best Laura's ever had. It turns out Laura is actually adopted, and her father is a werewolf. For some reason, Laura dislikes Orcs. She will not talk to animals, but animals can still turn in work orders to her.

During the winter holiday season, Laura has been known to give out the recipe for her famous tarts.

When I was caught in bed with a woman, did he use his immense clout with the Council to get us off the hook? No. He bribed a guard. Marie and I had to sneak out of Statehelm and never return.
I love the man, and to be truthful I don't bear him ill will. I think of him fondly sometimes. But I'm not coming to his rescue.
Tell dad I miss his walnut bread, but I'm never returning to Statehelm again. This is the second time he's asked, and if he asks again I'll cut off all communication with him forever.
