[[Soothsaying]] is not a skill, but a group of abilities in the [[Lore]] skill based around the viewing of '''Auguries'''. Soothsaying is not a skill per se. One can use one of the four augury recipes (''Beginner's'', ''Basic'', ''Advanced'' and ''Expert Augury'') found among [[Lore Recipes]]. [[Ashk the Answerer]] will teach them with appropriate favor after you complete some errands for him.
Each Augury recipe gives a one hour buff and a new Augury can be divulged every hour. The buff effect can be positive or negative depending on the foreseen outcome, and the level of Augury used. Not every effect is available as a result of each recipe.

==Outcomes==
 
The outcome of an augury depends on the corpse trophy used, and some effects are more likely to happen. In general, all items have a chance to give ''Normal Day'' or ''Unpleasant Day'' (the Max Armor modifier). When these two effects are explicitely listed below, it means they have a higher than average chance to happen.

Soothsaying is not a skill, but a group of abilities in the Lore skill based around the viewing of Auguries. An adventurer can learn the four augury recipes (Beginner's, Basic, Advanced and Expert Augury) from Ashk the Answerer. Ashk will teach Augury abilities with appropriate favor, and after you complete some favor quests for him. You must have either Meditation or Shamanic Infusion at level 50 before you may learn these abilities.

Each Augury recipe gives a one hour buff and a new Augury can be divulged every hour. The buff effect can be positive or negative depending on the foreseen outcome, and the level of Augury used. Not every effect is available as a result of each recipe.

Augury is taught by Ashk in Rahu. The skill requires either Meditation at 50 or Shamanic Infusion at 50 to unlock.
